Media includes photo and video captured by ANY device. This means that all policies apply, regardless of if media was captured with an ADC device, or with a personal device.

ARTIST RESPONSIBILITY

An important job of each artist of Aerial Dance Chicago is to honor and protect the creative material of the organization.
Media policies apply during participation/employment AND beyond participation/employment at Aerial Dance Chicago.
ADC is an all ages, family-friendly organization and it is the responsibility of each staff member to help the company maintain its image as such.

Creative material generated during Aerial Dance Chicago activities and programs, including but not limited to photos, videos, training, curriculum, choreography, rigging design, apparatus design, costume design, lighting design, etcetera, are copyrighted resources of Aerial Dance Chicago and may not be used for any purpose outside of Aerial Dance Chicago.
Use of Aerial Dance Chicago media must be related to the purposes and programs of the company and may not be used for any other purposes.
The ADC studio space may only be used for ADC activities, programs and purposes and may not be used for personal or other pursuits.

Media may not be used for any purpose outside of Aerial Dance Chicago, except family keepsake.
The purpose of capturing Aerial Dance Chicago media is to support and share the programs of our nonprofit organization.
Use of media for and at ADC must be related to the purposes and programs of the company.
Media must never be taken out of context.

Shares must clearly and prominently credit and tag Aerial Dance Chicago.
Shares must credit the choreographer, other artists involved and photographer (if applicable).
Shares may not be taken out of context.
Use only dance/art related text and hashtags that clearly align with the vision and mission of Aerial Dance Chicago.
Never share Aerial Dance Chicago curriculum or tutorials on social media.

If you are sharing video and you are not the choreographer, you must first gain permission from the choreographer before sharing.
Never share lengthly segments of choreography. Please limit to 10-15 seconds or shorter.
Never share in a way in which movement or choreography could be copied.
Never use ADC music in posts. Use only music provided by the social media app itself.

ADC DOES NOT grant permission for usage of ADC name or media on accounts or online spaces where staff are also sharing suggestive content, including but not limited to burlesque, pole dancing, exotic dancing, etc. For any account where you share suggestive content, ADC prohibits the use of any company media, company name, mention of affiliation to ADC, media taken at ADC’s studio space, etc. ADC related media may not be used on any part of these accounts or online spaces, including but not limited to: Profile pictures, profile content, posts, stories, past posts, and any other part of the given app or platform.

Choreographer agrees to fully and prominently credit Aerial Dance Chicago when sharing or remounting work or any portion of work originally created through ADC.
This includes but is not limited to remounting on another company, or other dancers, remounting for an event or festival, using video of the work for an application, sharing as a video presentation, sharing on social media, or any other type of showing of the work or portion of the work.
Choreographer must clearly credit ADC on all video submissions for grant, performance applications, festival applications, and other any other applications.
Choreographer must clearly credit and tag ADC in the text, printed program, social media share, other printed material or on video credits. If no written material is printed, choreographer must provide credit verbally as part of the presentation.
If re-creating a work or any portion of a work outside of ADC activities, or if sharing video in submissions, artist must credit as follows: “This work was created through the support of Aerial Dance Chicago.”
