In October 2015, Aerial Dance Chicago and Elements Contemporary Ballet presented the world premiere of AYA, an original evening-length ballet full of mystery, wonder and profound visceral experience. Hailed by critics as "Magnificent" and "An adventure conjured from the minds of grand thinkers" the dance of AYA took place from the depths of the orchestra pit to the highest heights of the fly loft at the historic Athenaeum Theatre.
AYA was an expansion of the initial collaboration between Elements and ADC, receiving a standing ovation from a sold-out audience at The North Shore Center for the Performing Arts in July 2014. Together, ADC and Elements merged the worlds of airborne dance and contemporary ballet for concert dance experiences like no other.
