Chelsea’s passion for dance began in her hometown of Pittsburgh, Pennsylania. For the majority of her professional career, Chelsea danced with Bodiography Contemporary ballet where she was featured in many principle roles. During her time with Bodiography, she had the opportunity to be a part of many meaningful works that enabled her to connect with grieving children and families, persons with Parkinson’s Disease and heart transplant patients. These experiences played a huge part in who Chelsea has become as a dancer. As an artist, she strives to truly connect with her audience and make a difference through dance. Chelsea attended La Roche College and earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Performing Arts in two and a half years rather than the typical four. During her time at La Roche College, she had the opportunity to study abroad in Manchester, England where she explored the concept of creating a connection between dance and technology. Chelsea also appeared with Gia Cacalano and her company Frameworks in a performance that included the skill of instant composition. Since then, Chelsea has danced in Los Angeles where she worked with Lineage Dance Company and Atlanta where she worked on multiple small film projects with choreographer David Norwood. When she is not performing, Chelsea finds joy in spending time with her family. Through them, she has a constant source of love, support and inspiration. She also has a passion for teaching and enjoys teaching dance and fitness classes to people of all ages. Chelsea is beginning her first season as an apprentice dancer and is deeply inspired by the artists at Aerial Dance Chicago. She is eager to learn from and perform with a company that takes contemporary dance to new heights!
